NOTHING is an innovative technology company headquartered in London, England, founded in 2021 by former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. In July this year, the company released its first smartphone - NOTHING Phone (1). With its transparent color scheme and back panel design, NOTHING has gained a lot of attention, and the brand has become firmly associated with the word "transparent". bound together.

Although NOTHING has been established for a long time, "transparent aesthetics" has already been deeply engraved into the brand's DNA. Before the launch of mobile phones, NOTHING had launched a wireless Bluetooth headset called Ear (1). The same design concept, translucent shell, and charging compartment shape make it stand out from the crowd of "AirPods-like" products. With transparent mobile phones and transparent earphones, will NOTHING reach out to transparent smartwatches in the next step?

Designer JunSeo Oh took the lead in designing a NOTHING WATCH (1) concept watch for NOTHING. It is not difficult to see from the picture that this watch has some similarities with the Apple Watch in structure. Of course, this is predictable. After all, Nothing Phone (1) also has the shadow of the iPhone 13 more or less. Secondly, JunSeo Oh is also very good at controlling the "transparency" of the watch. After all, there is currently no product that is "completely transparent", and what attracts users should be the understanding of "perspective aesthetics".

This NOTHING WATCH (1) seems to be made of a material similar to transparent glass. Including its case, back panel, crown, and side buttons, all of them have been designed transparently, and all internal structures are exposed. The middle part of the back plate of the watch is slightly raised, just flush with the skin, which provides better readability for the sensor while wearing it more ergonomically.
JunSeo Oh is not the only one who wants to design a transparent watch for NOTHING. A designer named Gian Luigi Singh had a similar idea before. The difference is that Gian made the side of the watch transparent so that the internal components can be displayed, which is more similar to the hollow design of some high-end watches. But in comparison, JunSeo's concept is more pleasing to the eye.
